Queen Harrison — Running
Unquestionably a titan in the realm of sports, Queen Harrison’s achievements in the universe of athletics reverberate resoundingly. Exhibiting a natural affinity for hurdling and sprinting, this American athlete has consistently made her mark.
In the annals of NCAA history, her distinction as the maiden victor in both the 100m and 400m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2010 shines brilliantly. Furthermore, Harrison’s crowning achievement as the first Olympian from Virginia Tech’s track and field division underlines her exceptional caliber. Today, she resides in the Palmetto State, alongside her eminent athlete husband, Will Claye.
Clair Bidez — Snowboarding
Clair Bidez, a Coloradoan turned professional snowboarder and research analyst, beautifully embodies the spirit of her snow-clad homeland. With a childhood ensconced amidst frosty landscapes, her evolution into a competitive snowboarder at the mere age of 10 comes as no revelation.
Not long after, at 16, her prowess earned her a commendable fifth place at the U.S. Open at Stratton Mountain, opening the gateway to the U.S. Snowboarding Team. Marking her territory as the 2006 Halfpipe Junior World Champion and a Winter X Games XX halfpipe fourth-place holder, she navigated the peaks and valleys of injury, recovery, and a spectacular Olympic journey. She even graced the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition as a promising Olympian.
