As an American athlete excelling in both hurdling and bobsledding, Jones distinguished herself by securing three NCAA titles and amassing 11 All-American honors during her tenure at Louisiana State University.
McKayla Maroney — Gymnastics
Previously part of the celebrated American women’s gymnastics team known as the Fierce Five during the 2012 Summer Olympics, McKayla Maroney initiated her gymnastics expedition at the tender age of two. It’s thus no shock that she made history by becoming the inaugural U.S. female gymnast to successfully defend her World Championship vault title, snatching the gold medal in vault at the 2013 World Championships.
