Discussions about climate change persist, with widespread assertions about the planet’s increasing temperature. If these predictions hold true, we could be facing a massive invasion of stink bugs. Research published in the International Journal of Biometeorology foresaw the potential appearance of this bug in Switzerland as early as the 2010s!
Hitching a Ride
Regrettably, the research hit the mark. The Journal reported that Switzerland has been witnessing an increasing population of stink bugs and subsequent damage from 2017 onwards. What’s more, these bugs even have the ability to elevate temperatures.
