The initial step to take upon identifying these brown pests is to thoroughly weed your garden. Stink bugs tend to take refuge in weeds, using them and any other available items for concealment. Consequently, it’s advisable to eliminate any garden decorations that might provide them with additional hiding spots.
Homemade Bug Repellent
Should these nuisances persist after you’ve eliminated weeds and decorative items, turn to a homemade bug repellent. A highly effective solution is to combine kaolin clay with several gallons of water, and then add 15 milliliters of a dish soap of your choice. Once thoroughly mixed, pour the concoction into a spray bottle and generously spray your garden!
