Crispy Chicken Wings in Air Fryer

One of my favourite ‘go-to’ lazy dishes is grilled honey-drizzled chicken wings. Now that I have the air fryer and find it more easy to use and it is non-messy, I decided to make a batch of chicken wings. It turned out superbly crisped and glazed.

Here’s how I made the chicken wings:

Crispy chicken wings in air fryer

1 kg chicken wings, washed and pat dry

For the marinade:

2 tablespoons each of soya sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and vinegar

1 tablespoon crushed garlic

1 teaspoon pepper, or to taste

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon honey (optional)

A pinch of salt (since the sauces already have salt in them)

Combine all the ingredients for the marinade (sauces, garlic, oil, salt and pepper) and toss the chicken wings well in the mixture.

Marinate the wings for around 3-4 hours if possible. I kept it overnight in the fridge.

Then, when it is time to cook, pre-heat the air fryer at 180 degrees for around 10 minutes.

Put the wings in the air fryer basket and cook in the same temperature for 10 minutes. Flip them over and cook for another 8-10 minutes. Done!

I had to cook the wings in two batches since the basket could hold 5 wings (or 6 at the most) at a time. But the wings came out absolutely glossy and crisp, and it took a lot of willpower not to munch on them while the second batch was cooking.

So, in case you are looking for a lazy chicken wings recipe where you don’t have to do much, look no further.

Have a great day!
